With only an estimated 1,600 living in the wild, the Giant Panda's survival depends on the fruitful reproduction of each member of the species. To that end, naturalists and zoologists worldwide have dedicated themselves to stabilizing and encouraging the endangered creature's notoriously low birthrate.
